Firstly, lets thanks to Allah SWT the almighty who has been giving us mercy and blessing until we can attend this meeting without  any obstacles in this happy place and time.

            Secondly, may sholawat and salam be with our prophet Muhammad SAW. Peace be upon him who has guided us from the darkness to the lightness in this world as well as in the next world.

            Thirdly, I’ll never forget to thank to master of ceremony who has given an opportunity for me to deliver my speech in front of you all. In this time I would like to present my speech under the title :

‘’THE IMPORTANT OF PURSUING KNOWLADGE AS THE BASIC OF LIFE’’

Ladies and Gentlemen

            Like we have to known that looking for science is the whole moslem’s obligation. As the decree of our prophet Muhammad SAW

So…………..Why did  our prophet Muhammad SAW obligate us to look for science ??? The answer is because of sciences very important in our life, because of science we can conquer many creatures in this world as like mountains , sky, moon, fire animal and the planets, and because of science we can be leader of all creatures in this world and we can be the best because of it. If we don’t have science we should like the other creatures, and we will be foolish man because we don’t know anything  so we will be worse than the other creatures.

Dear brothers and sisters in one aqidah

            As I said above that looking for science is very important in this life because of science we will get fortunate in this world or in the hereafter. Therefore  who wants to get fortunate in this world they must have science, and who wants to get fortunate in the hereafter they must have science too……

Like the decree of our prophet Muhammad SAW ;

Allah has differentiated between man and animal is from their mind, and Islam always invites someone to think objectively not un objectively, without knowledge a fundamental  somebody isn’t allowed to begin thinking from the guess of hesitation. It must be a proof to get rid of the way to think unthinkable.

Dear moslem generation

            When you asked by somebody ‘’What’s your fundamental to think objectively and then your practice it ?.’’If we are moslem we must answer that from glorious Al-qur’an and sunnah Rasulullah SAW and both of them are foundation of thinking objectively. Why does the main basic have to be Al-qur’an ?

We have to know that Al-qur’an is the only book that staits. It’s perfectness, it doesn’t develop, it isn’t changed due to wrong. It isn’t added and subtracted. And Al-qur’an is the only book which will always be kept it’s original. Allah said in the holly Al- qur’an ;

Al-qur’an is the only book which has been educating and leading man to the clear of civilization, therefore as the learned man use sound mind and pure heart to study about  this matter. Is there book which can compare with Al-qur’an ??? The answer is NOTHING !!!.

Ladies and Gentlemen

            Here we can conclude that the purpose of looking for science is for acting of devotion to our god, Allah it’s mean that the purpose of looking for science in an education is for creating moslem  who has science faith and pretty, which all of those can facilitate to get success and happiness in this world and those of hereafter. Islam always order us to look for science as long as we are still life in this world.

Proverb said ‘’ A LONG LIFE IS EDUCATION ‘’.

            Thirdly, I’m standing here I would like to present my speech under the title

‘’THE OBLIGATION OF PURSUEING KNOWLADGE TO EVERY MOSLEM’’

Dear audience

            Science is a way that can guide human being to a happy life, either in the world or in hereafter. And science is a light that will light the life of human being , so that, they can’t be lost on their way. They can’t be blurry to differentiate between the right things and the wrong ones, and by science human being will understand their tasks as the creatures, that are created to adore to Allah only. That’s why Allah adopts the position of the humans who have science into the highest position, either in the world or in  hereafter

            “Allah will exalt those of you believe and those who are given knowledge in high degrees’’

Dear audience

                Science plays an important role in the life of human being , we can’t live in a better life without  science. Therefore let’s use our life occasion in this world by studying the science as it’s a light that will show us if we are lost. And in our daily activities, either in the form of worldly deed or hereafter one, it will be perfect and be useful when they are based by the sciences, for example, when we work every day or looking for a living, if we know the science of it we will be safe, and what we have done will be given reward by Allah SWT. And when we have been the learned people we must be aware that science is instruction from Allah where we are demanded to teach to the other people who need it or to realize for our selves and don’t be proud and be little other people and think that we are the best amongst the others. Let’s study the science because of  Allah not due to the others.

Dear audience

                And the places of studying science aren’t only at schools or at formal educational institutes, but the other places that can be used to add our science or knowledge are able to be used. For example at mosques, at homes, and so on. That’s why when we don’t understand about the condition of pray, the way of ritual ablution and about fasting for example, we can learn at the informal educational organizations.

The obligation of pursueing knowledge to moslems has been commanded by Allah since his first word was conveyed to prophet Muhammad SAW. We can view it in surah Al-Alaq

                ‘’Read in the name of your lord who created ‘’

This verse beckons that science is the first capital to life and the main source to gain the happiness in the world and in the great beyond. One of the ways to gain the science is by writing and reading the verses of Allah who has created universe with it’s contents, especially on the creation of man.

                        ‘’ He created man from a clot ‘’

Allah holds the power in creating man, So Allah is also powerful to educate it to be able to read, For example : Our prophet Muhammad SAW was as the man who couldn’t read and write for the first time, then he was urged by the angel Gabriel to read and our prophet Muhammad SAW answered ‘’ I can’t read ‘’. The angel repeated his order three times, yet prophet Muhammad still answered ‘’ I can’t read ‘’.

            Before I end my speech, here I would like to invite you all to sing together for inspiriting  our mind and increasing our spirit.

                        It’s for us to be leader of the world

                        Let’s run so fast, without warness

Dear audience

Science is a way that can guide human being to a happy life, either in  the world or in hereafter. and science is a light that will light the life of human being so that they can not be lost  on their way, they can’t blurry to differentiate between the right things and the wrong ones, and by the science human being will understand their tasks as the creatures that are created to adore to Allah only, that’s why Allah adopt s the position of the humans who have science into the  lighest position, either in the world or in the hereafter

                                            يرفع اللله اللذين امنوا منكم واللذين اوتوا العلم درجت ( المجادله : 11 )

Considering the important of science in the life of human beings so Rasulullah decreed

اغد عالما او متعلما اااومستمعا او محبا ولاتكن خامسا فتهلك                                                                                                
“Be the learned human being or as a learner, or  as the listener of science or the person who loves the science, and don’t be fifth person, the result is that you are in a loss and lost”

And when we have been the learned people, we must be aware that science is an instruction from Allah where we are demanded to teach to the other people who need it or to realize for our selves.

Dear audience brothers and sister !

             The world where we live now is different with the past and also different with the future. Now days we are being faced and tested with the development of science and technology.  We have often found everywhere most of people use many kinds of sophisticated tools in daily life. From babies until the old person use the sophisticated tools that is very latest technology.

They make every effort to reach the aim of life. It is equitable prosperity in material and spiritual, so that they use assorted powers and modern tools. This case has been really very proper found in modern society now. Like the argumentation said by the chief of LIPI Prof. Dr. H. Tb. Bahtiar Rifa’i about modern human features. “They are people who have the view with the bright future that concern them selves, family, community and country”. Allah in Holy Qur’an has confirmed it

يايها الذين امنوا اتقو الله  ولتنظر نفس ما قد مت لغد واتقواالله ان الله خبير بما تعملون

The future according to Islam is not limited to the world only. Namely the future of children and nation but also the future after death.

Dear audience !

Having a certain the view of future means thinking and making every effort as maximal as possible to create the next world better and brighter than the world today. But, in a fact, what we see is so far from what we hoped, human’s life in this modern era has been near to reach the top of dangerous climax and far from Islamic laws. Most of them exploit the technology just for what carries detriment for example: internet technology, in this archeological sire. We can find many pornographic archeological site that generally has been consumed by majority of public. Either from student of secondary degree to old people.

This case surely can damage the morality of young generation. And this case certainly contradicts with our hope. We entrust our hope to the young generation who are hoped to repair our life of this nation better and better in the next. But, what we see now is so far from pour hope. The young generation precisely get turpitude of moral. The way of thinking damage, integral faith in their soul. They don’t inherit kindness, knowledge and the nobleness generation’s character before at all. This matter surely able to damage our next nation’s life, the turpitude of moral, character, culture and destitution of science even can cause, the decline in understanding religion and socializing.

In connection with that Allah has admonished in Qur’an :

فخلق من بعدهم خلف اضاعوا الصلوة واتبعوا الشهوات فسوف ياقون غيا

This case also mentioned in one poem :

وانما الامم الاخلاق ما بقيت # وان هموا ذهبت اخلاقهم ذهبوا

The one nation will get the victory if young generation have the good deeds 

Dear Moslem generation!

As the young generation who live in this area we must effort maximally to create the country brighter future and with good intend for bequeathed this world to the next generation, especially with the useful thing. Rasulullah SAW explained it in one hadits

انك ان تذر ورثتك اغفياء خير من ان تدرهم عالة يتكففون الناس اغطوه او منعوه  (متفق عليه)

If you leaved the heir with enough condition, it is better than you leaved the poor generation. They only able to beg, either will be given or refused. On the other hand, like in wise word

لقد غرسواحتي اكلناواننالنغرس حتي ياكل الناس بعدنا

The last people had planted until we can eat the fruits and now the time for us to plant, so that the people after us can eat the crop.

If we pay attention on wise world above apparently we have been benefit many service of our last parent. Thus, now is the change for us to save the good deed as the good example for the next generation.    

 Thus, we pray to Allah in order to be given awareness, so we are able to exploit what Allah has given us great grant and gift by science. So they can create all kinds of sophisticated technology, we are as the young generation hoped tube able to exploit it well with nothing damages morality of country and religion. Moreover, may! We are able to be human live having useful science. The strong faith and the happiness in the world and here after

THE IDEAL IN REACHING A GOOD LIFE

Dear audience brothers..............and sisters............

Every human sure has the ideal and the hope in reaching a good life. There was a rumor said. A good view of life is the life has been surrounded by wealth. There says the life has been given science there says the life has been given discent. Even there says the life has been given a beauty or handsome.

In the general view if the good life is the life was prosperous in mattress of inner self and outer world. It has been explaned in an arregement  book tafsir fi dlilalil qur’an.

The good life is a life that has been met five principles :

1. The first

Has been overflown lawful luck and an accept or qona’ah ( in arabic)

Islam is never limit person to reach a certain luck as much as possible, except has been limited by the lawful manner that not deviate from religion. Allah has almoshed it in Alqur’an :

ياأيها النا س كا كلوا ممّا في الارض حلالا طيّبة وكلوا واشربوا ولا تسرفوا انّ الله لايحبّ المسرفين

Of course every thing is prodused by te lawful means sure will product calmness, happiness and the composure of soul. But the other way, if in a result of luck is got by forbidding manner. For instance there are decreasing a pair of scales, corruption, manipulation and still much anothers sure ! It ‘ll always bring up uncomposure, inner shock, will be descended on anxious and anxiety, so afraid if property loses, called by the commition of corrupt elemination or KPK and others. Our prophet Muhammmad SAW mentioned it in one hadist :

البّرمااطمئنّ فيه القلب ومااطمئنّ إليه النفس والاثم ماحاك فى النّفس ويتردّدفى الصّدر                                                                                                                                

Remember ! one proptious step, the composure of soul certainly will come. But the other way, if one evel step sure will bring up the inner shock. And also in reaching a good luck. In Islam recomended in order to emerge an accept in the human’s soul by what he produced from his efforts. If not, they will strom and always have an ambission to get it by miscalleneous manners. Rosulullah SAW gave an human’s characther in reaching luck :

لو كان لإبن ادم واد يان لابتغي ثالثا,ولوكا ن له ثالثا لابغي رابعا ولايملاء ابن ادم التراب

Honorable audience ...........

Supposing, in human’s soul; have two golden revines, so they will make every efforts for in coming three golden revines. But if they have got it, so they want to have it more more and more. And this case will never stop until they have arrived or dead so...........!?

Let’s meditate upon Rosul hadist :

طوبي لمن هدي للاسلام وكان عيثه كفافاوقنع

2. The second. Given luck of science

As we have known, in human’s self there are two things. They are Material and spiritual. The material needs consumption like food, drink, snack. But.........the spiritual needs consumption like science . By science the human’s spiritual soul will be peacefull and prosperous. Because science is the best gift from Allah. In the persue knowledge problem generally Rosulullah SAW said :

كن عا لما ومتعلما أومستمعا او محبا فلاتكن خامسا فتهلك

حياة الفتى والله بالعلم والتّقى z إذا لم يكونا لعتبار لذاته

And this case also mentioned in one poem :

Islam has given a wide perception about science. Where the someone maypersue the world science, may persue the bayond science. And may persue both of them. The most importanting from all of it is exploited for his self, family, community, and for God’s willing

In Human’s potential can surpass another cretures like angels, animal, that’s all because of the science factor. The human who can effort to fix an economic affair. That’s because of science. Included the human can be the noblest in Allah’s side in bringing closer to Him. That’s also because of science too. And the result, all of magnificent have been reached by human both on the world or beyond, the existence of technology, They were because of science too!

Life will be blind if without theology

And without science, life will be lame.

It’s proof.......how important of science in our life is!

3. Now is the third principle. Given divine direction and god’s guindance

Given God’s guindance is the succes that has been reached for example : a student wants to be scholar and it was reached , it is gratify isn’t it ? A man worked hardly until his exertion was succes and could reach a happiness and everything he wanted. Isn’t it gratifying ? We are given a health by Allah until we can do all activities. They’re God’s guidence.

And of  course, Divine direction can income special happiness, Whatever divine direction is participated by god’s guidance. So the step will be endured is always prefesional. The near example : Man worked hardly and was succes. So took the tethe, finansial support, man has knowledge and he put his knowledge to use for society.

4. A virtuous deed and character.

We have to know if the meaning of a virtious deed is a person has good connection to human and Allah. In connection with that Allah  SWT said in An – nahl verse ninety seven (97)

من عمل صالحا ن ذكر او انثى فهو مؤمن فلنحيينه حيوة طيبة ولنجزينهم اجرهم باحسن ماكانو يعملون

So character is a certain flavoring in our connection to Allah and human like home. If in the home’s area there are beautiful garden, many beautiful flowers, sure many people will be attracted by the home. And also, person has good connection to Allah in his act of devotion. Rosulullah said

ما نقضت صدقةمن مال ومازاد الله عبدا بعفوالاعزومانواضع احد لله الا رفعه الله تعالى

And the last............

5. Agreat beyond invesment ( the exalted of great beyond)

The signs to difference among the faithful one and not is beleaning in the beyond life.

Islam religion gives advice if the world like must be made medium or bridge to reach the beyond life. And the good is for reaching Allah’s heaven. So.................be happy ! For people get happiness on the world and have invesment for the best beyond life, it’s Allah heaven.

THE ROLE OF MOSLEM BOARDING SCHOOL IN NARCOTIC MISUSE PREVENTION

Dear Audience...

For the members of Islam community either male or female generally ordered and also demanded to persue knowledge either theology or general science and should for community human of them have a will to broaden its theology and hoped can be a religion central figure in society on this case is about command of the good deed and prohibition of the deny like in arabic language أمر معروف نهى منكر . Allah SWT confirmed it in holy Qur'an :

فلولا نفر من كلّ فرقة منهم طائفة ليتفقّهوا فى الدين وليوندروا قومهم إذارجعوا إليهم لعلّهم ليحذرون

Moslem boarding school is as the place to broaden theology and put knowledge to use for society which have gotten in anccordance with the Islamic instruction. Therefore, the role of deny is so big and important especially the religius pupil should be consider to the situation and condition of public. Among others : By the existence of disavowels that have been poisonning the moral of public so ? For religius pupil who as an important figure at religion deserve to get rid of dinials above by using some method like what they have thaugt and approved. Included in that matter is about the manner to make society realize the dangerous of narcotic which can bring damage up either the damage of the body, soul, mind or aqidah.

Islam religion has educated the method or missionary edeavor sometime by using a wise missionary endeavor, a good advice, and the next is holding a dialogue well.

Dear Audience...

For removing thing needs patience and tolerence in extending the efect that will be approved. It means in making them aware of it needs rational and unrational principles.

THE GOOD CULTURE IN THE ISLAMIC VIEW

Dear audience…

            Conforming to the nature of character as the social creature, the human needs cooperative with the life's area. And every human's life won't be free from a civilization. Even it's in the meadow of confidence, art, or tradition. The civilization various meanings, there was giving opinion that it's the result of activity and creating internal or human intelligence. But generally it has special meaning and many people construed it as certain custom formed on human's thinking either individual or group until become tradition.

The culture from civilization has been expanding from nations and various ethnic group, sometime that culture is good in their eyes and suitable from Islamic religion, but sometimes that culture is good according to them only and not suitable from Islamic laws called " Syari'ah Al- Islam ", In this criticism, showed by example about clothing of women which opened their genitals whereas it is the part of body which mayn't be visible while performing. And most of it has happened to west people, They think it's good according to them. But actually it's bad in the Islamic view because, the right is one and the good is relative. With the result that if one of us follow or imitate the manner of life, thinking and the west nation life like Euro, America. It means that We exampled the foreign culture. And this case named " Tabarruj Jahiliyah. "  

So that, We are as Moslem woman, deserve to do our duties and obligations among others, keeping the good name of Islam, self – esteem and also religion until we are shy to Allah has decreed  

وقرن فى بيوتكنّ ولا تبرّجن تبرّج الجاهليّة

There fore, Let's reflect upon 4 ethnic of Islam for female! The first…

1.      Bowing the Eyewitness

2.      No meeting with male relative

3.      The cloth used by them has to pierce the etiquette and the arrangement of Islam. Well, it has been admonished by Allah about wearing cloth.

لايبدى زنتهنّ ما ظهرمنها

4.      No doing thing which can bring the man's passion up like in the case above, for instance the erotic cloth.

Dear Audience,………

            The good culture meant here is as in weaving the bounds of friendship inter Islam community at holiday. And this matter isn't defied by the Islamic laws, but precisely the culture like this is very recommended by religion generally. Like what Allah said in his Hadith Qudsi and the meaning explained about Allah's willing to person who love visiting, making a devotional visit, loving each others among Moslem because of Him and following God's commandments so these cultures are caused by the special thing that has been given by Allah for human, namely main and desire or motivation. Like what we have known, the division of Allah's creature are four,

1.      The creature given mind and desire is Human

2.      The creature given mind but without desire named Angel

3.      The creature not given mind but just given desire, called Animal

4.      The last, The creature without having mind and also desire, it's immovable.

The end is that, The development of culture in society is not free from mind, Intelligence and motivation. Because, the most valuable of wealth is a mind and the biggest of poverty is stupidity. So the environment effect until the existence of expanding different culture between one leg with others and All of idea appeared from Human's thinking are limited. Then sure, in this matter needs the god's guidance.

And my loving brothers

            There is no most beautiful word, we can say except, to thank and pray into Allah SWT. Because of his mercies and blessing everything can be performed without any troubles and obstacles.

            Peace and salution be upon the great messenger Muhammad and His household, his companious, and his faithful followers who strive in Allah’s religion ‘’ISLAM’’

            Before I’m going to explain my too important speech title in this happy chance. I’d like to thank the chairman who has provided the good change for me to speak on this pulpit in front of you all.

            In the situation of man’s life in these days. We find many kinds of social lameness that appear in all aspects of life, either in the smallest circle (in a family) or in the large one (in a country).

            The appearance of the social lameness is caused by the man’s own behaviors that almost lose control from the tenets of AL-QUR’AN, don’t we realize  and understand that the fact and story have told us about the destruction of the times ? they were the people who denied the tenets of their holy book (denying the verse of Allah, and didn’t use their holy book as way of life on this transitory earth) so,,,!!! What will actually  be our compasses in facing these all…?

            We have to posses the honorable morals . how does to reach it ,,,? Of course, it’s by education. Moreover it has some varieties of kinds such as science and knowledge. But … the most important ones is THEOLOGY.

            Therefore, in this good and happy chance namely in IAIN SUNAN AMPEL English Speech Contest.

            Allow me please to explain more about it especially

Well audience

            The theology is a light that will light the life of human being. So that, they can’t be lost on their way. They can’t be blurry to differentiate between the right things and the wrong ones. And also it can learn us either in physic or psychology.

Gentlemen and Ladies

            In fact, many of moslem youth in this time still don’t understand the contents of al-qur’an, they feel prouder with their physic. Mathematics and their computer than being able to read and understand AL-QUR’AN, some still like to do sinful and crimes such as fighting one another, doing corruption or even pretending become a girl.

            Whereas if we understand Al-Qur’an more deeply we will surprise that all science and problems solving have been in Al-Qur’an.

            Allah knows the needs of his servant, either in this present time or in the future.

            Therefore, as moslem exalted by Allah. We must be clever to carry out the tenets of Al-Qur’an, to protect it, and to make the contents of it everlasting this, absolutely we can be the true faithful that have honorable morals.

Honorable Audience

We should know, that the role of moral in life is very important, it’s needed by human beings in their life. It can’t be neglected, it must be taught to human, as it’s a thing that must be owned by them. Imagine please ,,,!!! What would this world be, if the human beings in this world lived without moral,,,?

Of course, by having good moral and holding the faith firmly. Hman beings can be raised, because these 2 things are as the foundation of life. If we neglect them, we can be worse than animal though we are clever. Our prophet Muhammad SAW said in his hadits :

 " أَكْمِلِ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ إِيْماَناً احسنهم خُلُقاً "

Although human beings have much science as high as sky, such as Barrack Obama and Muammar Khadafi, it will be useless, if they have bad moral, or human being has beauty as beautiful as Julia Perez, Dewi Persik or Manohara. It will be useless too. If they have bad moral either in the world or here after.

Begin this time, we have known that science without moral is useless, either in the world or here after. And with theology we know it al, because theology is able to learn us either in physic that’s all science or psychological that is more. So we have balanced education.
