THE OBLIGATION OF PERSUEING KNOWLEDGE TO EVERY MOSLEM

السلام عليكم و رحمة الله وبركاته .

الحمد لله الذي علم الإنسان بالقلم ، وعلمه ما لم يعلم ، اللهم صل و سلم على سيدنا محمد سيد اللأنبياء والمرسلين الكرام ، وعلى اله و اصحابه الأكرم .

Praise be to Allah, Tht Lord who taught science to man with the pen, and taught man what he knew not. Peace be upon Prophet Muhammad SAW, his family and companions are most honorable.

Excellency our Teachers…

Ladies and Gentlemen…

And dear audience…

For the very first time, let’s thank Allah, The lord of the worlds. Due to the blessing of Allah, we can face to face in this program. And becouse of His mercy we can take part in this speech contest.

Mercy and peace be upon our prophet Muhammad SAW, as our guider that has been guiding us to the right course, namely Dinul Islam.

Dear audience,

Science is a way that can guide human being to a happy life, either in the world or in here after. And science is a light that will light the life of human being so that they cannot be lost on their way. And by the science human being will understand their tasks as the creatures that are created to adore to Allah only. That’s why Allah adopts the position of the humans who have science into the highest position, either in the world or in the hereafter.

يرفع الله الذين امنوا منكم واللذين اوتواالعلم درجت ( المجادلة : 11 )

“Allah will exalt those of you believe, and those who are given knowledge, in high degrees”.

Dear audience,

Science plays an important role in the life of human being. We can’t live in a better life without science. Therefore let’s use our life occasion in this world by studying the science, as it is a light that will show us if we are lost.

We must be aware that studying science isn’t only the obligation of youth, but it also the obligation of old generation. The obligation of studying science is obligatory for all of us. And the places of studying science aren’t only at schools, but the other places that can be used to add our science or knowledge are able to be used, for example at mosques, at homes and so on.

Honorable audience,

The obligation of pursueing knowledge to Moslems has been commanded by Allah since His first word at surah Al-Alaq:

إقرأ باسم ربك الذي خلق ، ( العلق: 1)

“Read in the name of your Lord Who created”.

This verse beckons that science is the first capital to live and the main source to gain the happiness in the world and in the Great Beyond. One of the ways to gain the science is by writing and reading the verse of Allah who has created the universe with its contents, especially on the creation of man.

خلق الإنسان من علق، ( العلق: 2)

“He created man from a clot”.

Allah holds the power in creating man, so Allah is also powerful to aducate it to be able to read.

إقرأ و ربك الأكرم ، الذي علم بالقلم ( العلق:3-4)

“Read and your Lord is Most honorable, Who taught (to write) with the pen”.

علم الإنسان ما لم يعلم ( العلق: 5)

“Taught man what he knew not”.

Thus the Greatness and the Power of Allah, man was created, then aducated to read and write, and shown the secret and miracle of Allah that must be studied and considered.

Thus is the way of Allah in teaching man to be able to gain the science and in telling the importance of it. Honorable audience, and dear brothers and sisters,… thus what I can convey in this program, and thank you very much for your appreciation and attention.
